IT consultancy and systems

Most businesses we meet are paying for software nobody uses, storing files in four places, and relying on one person who happens to know where everything is. We audit what you have, cost it honestly, and put a plan in front of you.

Typical work: moving to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, consolidating file storage, sorting user accounts and access levels, reviewing licences and renewals, setting up backups that actually restore, and getting devices onto a consistent build.

  • Cloud migration
  • Backup and recovery testing
  • Access control and MFA
  • Licence and cost review

AI integration

The value is rarely in the model. It is in wiring it to the place the work already happens — your inbox, your CRM, your document store — and in deciding where a person still has to look before anything goes out.

Typical work: assistants that answer questions from your own documents and policies, extracting data from invoices, purchase orders and forms, drafting first-pass replies to common enquiries, summarising long documents for the people who have to act on them, and internal search that finds the right file without anyone remembering its name.

  • Internal search
  • Human review checkpoints

Process automation

Anywhere a person is re-typing something that already exists somewhere else, there is time to reclaim. We find those handovers and close them.

Typical work: turning enquiries into quotes, pushing orders into the accounts package, chasing unpaid invoices on a schedule, building reports that generate themselves, syncing data between tools that do not speak to each other, and putting reminders where they are actually seen.

  • Quote and invoice flows
  • System-to-system sync
  • Automated reporting
  • Scheduled chasing

Support, training and governance

A system nobody understands gets abandoned within a month. Handover is part of the job, not an extra.

Typical work: staff training on the tools we install, written documentation in plain English, an AI acceptable-use policy your team can actually follow, security basics such as multi-factor authentication, password management and phishing awareness, and a monthly retainer for the questions that come up afterwards.

What you get in writing

Before a penny changes hands, the proposal sets out:

  • The problem as we understand it, in your words
  • What we will build or change, and what we will not
  • A fixed price and a payment schedule
  • Dates, and what we need from your team to hit them
  • Which third-party services are involved and what data reaches them
  • What handover includes and who owns what afterwards

What we do not do

We do not resell hardware, we do not take commission from software vendors, and we do not sign three-year support contracts.

We also do not take on work we cannot do well. If a job needs a specialist — a penetration test, a bespoke mobile app, a regulated finance system — we will tell you and, where we can, point you at someone who does it properly.

Common questions, straight answers

Do you charge by the hour?

No. Assessments and projects are quoted at a fixed price against a written scope. Retainers are a set monthly fee. You will not receive an invoice you did not expect.

Will you work alongside our existing IT provider?

Yes, and it is common. We usually handle the consultancy, automation and AI work while your incumbent keeps the day-to-day support running.

What happens if we want to stop?

Retainers cancel on 30 days' notice. On a project you pay for completed work and any committed third-party costs. We hand over credentials and documentation either way.

Do you resell software or take vendor commission?

No. Software and licences are bought in your name, billed by that supplier directly. We earn our fee and nothing else, so a recommendation is never influenced by a margin.
